Meet The Instructors
IKMF E1 Head Instructor
Brad takes a realistic approach to the way in which techniques are taught. He offers real world experiences and the knowledge to help you avoid dangerous situations, and the expertise to help you get out of them. Brad adds into his training his own experiences of violent encounters, to add to the realism of the training, and to give the students a view of real world encounters from both perspectives, attacker and defender.
Brad has a background in boxing & has been doing Krav Maga for circa 10 years. He has trained in Israel a number of times & has attended the G Camp & Most recently E Camp where he attained his IKMF Expert rank. The non linear approach of Krav Maga is what brought him to the system & moving away from the ‘one on one’ attacker scenarios to multipke attackers that are more common place in urban environments.
Brad is DBS cleared & First Aid Trained.

IKMF G1 Instructor
Alex started IKMF Krav Maga In 2014, after having seen his son grade. He continued training until November 2015 when a shoulder injury and subsequent operation stopped his progression. Alex started training again in 2017 returning to Krav Maga and Kravology in April the same year and has not looked back since.
Under the instructorship of Bradley Simmonds he achieved P4 before embarking on civilian instructor course. Alex passed the CIC in 2019 and obtained his G1 grade under GIT’s Marcus Torgerson and Israel Tamir. Two of the greats!
Alex is employed as a Border Force officer currently responsible for training officers in control and restraint techniques, this includes the use of various restraints and batons as a last resort. This role also involves identifying and de escalating potential volatile situations.
Early on he dabbled in a couple of martial arts including Traditional Ju Jitsu, but never really stuck at anything.
Krav Maga is so different in that all movement is very natural and because of this makes it easier to learn, remember and execute under stress.
With the way the world is going Alex feels that everybody should be equipped with skills that give them a fighting chance. IKMF Krav Maga is that system.
Alex is First Aid trained.
